A Salsbury Model 85 Standard Version with all the Options - Windshield, Windscreen, Rear Bumper, Passenger Seat and Grab Bar

The Model 85 Standard Version

Almost all of the Model 85s that Salsbury Motors made were the standard version.

During the 1947 production run, Salsbury Motors made an amazing number of manufacturing changes to the Model 85. The engineers and manufacturing guys were tinkering with and improving the Model 85 almost on a daily basis. The Salsbury Restorer's Society (SRS) has documented almost every meaningful change, which is only possible because the society has studied so many different Model 85s. All of this institutional knowledge is contained in the SRS quarterly newsletters. The SRS has not put digital copies of these newsletters online yet, so you will need to find the hardcopy magazines for now. Best advice is to look on eBay and post a note offering to buy a set on the SRS Facebook page.
